RTW Route

route of the round the world trip

Fabian and me will be travelling mostly together. Just at the end we will separate and I will continue in Buenos Aires (Argentina) while Fabian stays a little longer in Fiji. Red arrows on the map show distances that will be overcome by plane while blue arrows show overland routes (jeep, train, bus etc...). Within Asia we are still quite flexible and are therefore not yet really able to anticipate our exact travel itinerary.

Schedule:

15 January flight from Munich via London Heathrow to Hongkong (arrival 16 January)

16 - 21 January Hongkong

22 - 28 January Shanghai

28 - 30 January travel by train to Tibet / Lhasa (51 hours by train)

30 - 02 February Lhasa

03 -06 February travel from Lhasa to Kathmandu (Nepal) by Jeep passing the Everest Basecamp 

06 - 15 February Kathmandu and surroundings

        15 February flight to Singapore

15 - 17 February Singapore

        17 February Bangkok (Thailand) couple of days in Bangkok

22 - 16 April landway from Bangkok via Cambodia (Pnom Phen, Angkor Wat etc...) to Ho Che Ming City (Saigong) - Vietnam; from the south in Vietnam to the north by boat, bus, train .... whatever to Hanoi passing the famous Harlong Bay.... From there probably back to the north of Thailand, continuing with some island hoping - Kosamui - Kophangan etc... Finally we will try to visit Bali in Indonesia. From there we have to fly back at the latest on the 15th of April to Singapore as our flight to Brisbane is leaving on the 16th of April.

16 - 16 May flight from Sidney to Auckland (New Zealand) We plan to stay 2 weeks in New Zealand on the northern island, travelling around.

30 - 7 June Fiji; after this week I will be leaving for Argentina while Fabian stays a little longer

       7 June flight from Fiji to Auckland and from Auckland to LA (US)

       8 June flight to Buenos Aires (Argentina)

8 - 30 July Buenos Aires / Argentina dancing Tango, tasting excellent beef and wine, hopefully speaking lots      of Spanish

     30 July flight to LA; from LA to London Heathrow!!! welcome back in Europe!!!
